Abstract
Stress relaxation tests in the uniform deformation region of an as-cast commercial Al bronze showed transient yield points on the stress-strain curves after reloading. This phenomenon is observed at room temperature but not at liquid nitrogen temperature. Sequential stress relaxation tests of this alloy have shown that the mobile dislocation density does not remain constant during relaxation at room temperature.
