Abstract

Outsourcing is defined as a practice used by different companies to reduce costs by transferring portions of work to outside suppliers rather than completing it internally. Selection among outsource manufacturers is a multicriteria decision-making problem under uncertainty, which the fuzzy set theory can capture this type of uncertainty. In this paper, interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy AHP & TOPSIS based methodology is proposed for the evaluation of outsource manufacturers. An application is given to show the applicability of the proposed method.
