Abstract
Considering the need for the efficient modeling and simulation of vehicular network traffic within temporal domain with reasonable computation load, we introduce a parallelized version of a previously proposed quasi-anisotropic meso-simulation model, used in dynamic network assignment in conjunction with heuristic routing optimization, using a parallel algorithm executed in a multi-threaded system. The use of the scheme is preliminarily discussed following a survey of the use of high performance computing in traffic simulation.
