Abstract

The rising awareness of environmental issues, especially global warming and emission of greenhouse gases, security of supplying fossil fuels, and uncertainties in the price of the fossil fuels has increased the attention on renewable energy. Many authors have emphasized the importance of transforming the usage of fossil fuels to environmentally friendly energy sources that are new, clean, affordable, and include inexhaustible energy sources obtained from nature such as sun, wind, and hot water springs (Acikgoz, 2011; Dursun and Gokcol, 2014). Wind energy accounts for almost 36% of total generated renewable energy.
