Industry 4.0 maturity levels of suppliers in white goods manufacturing sector

Abstract

Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things are becoming significant subjects in manufacturing sector. A survey based on Industry 4.0 was applied to the member companies of White Goods Suppliers Association. According to the study, one of the purposes is the measurement of factory maturity level and knowledge about Industry 4.0. Another aim is the analysis of core competencies and inadequate areas of company. Hypotheses were conducted and analysed. One of the results is; the prior area of companies with high application level of lean manufacturing techniques is assembly line for Industry4.0 transformation. The other result is; the companies that have medium and high ratio of engineers to white collars who have low application level of lean techniques. Company investment amount for transformation, application level of lean techniques in factory, and automation level in assembly line, were analysed.
