Abstract

Image analysis tests carried out at Istanbul University's Textile Engineering Department used a drapemeter to measure the drape of fabrics. The apparatus consisted of a digital camera, a platform on which the fabric is placed, and a PC. The tests confirmed the relationship between the drape behaviour and the bending length of fabrics: both are related to the stiffness of the fabrics.
