Abstract

Heat flow maps based on geothermometers and temperature gradients were used to estimate the stored heat in Turkey. Stored heat computed from these maps was utilized to identify 3 categories of geothermal resources: (1) T<100 °C, (2) 100 °C>T>180 °C and (3) T>180 °C. A stochastic study is carried out on these data and the expected geothermal energy resource and convertible energy estimates for each group were computed and reported.
