Abstract
With the increasing integration of power electronics into all aspects of life, the demand for high-power converters has also risen significantly. In applications where high power is required, the parallel connection of semiconductor switches plays a critical role in enhancing the system's current-carrying capacity and, consequently, its power transmission capabilities. In this study, the use of parallel-connected MOSFETs in power electronic circuits, the factors affecting current sharing and the methods used to improve current sharing are discussed. Initially, parameters that disrupt current sharing in parallel-connected MOSFETs are examined comparatively, and their effects on current distribution are analyzed. After the parameters that cause unbalanced distribution of current between MOSFETs are determined, the active and passive methods proposed in the literature to improve current sharing are reviewed and their impacts on current distribution are discussed comparatively.
