Abstract
The fractional curl operator and its possible applications in electromagnetic problems are discussed. Specifically, we consider radiation from sheet and line current distributions. Applying fractionalized curl operator we obtain new "fractional" fields and corresponding "fractional" currents, and analyze their physical meanings. "Fractional" field can be considered as "intermediate" one between the original and dual fields. It can be treated as an extension of conventional duality principle. Expressions for the "fractional" fields and relation between "fractional" currents and the original currents are presented.
