Abstract
Forced vibrations of a rigid circular plate on a tensionless Winkler edge support were analyzed. The problem is a nonlinear one due to tensionless character of the edge support. Numerical results were obtained to determine the effects of the system parameters on the dynamic behavior of the plate. It was found that lift-off has a significant effect on the vibrations of the plate.
