Abstract
This article introduces a rectangular single-band planar crescent-star figured patch antenna simulated for wireless communication systems. The introduced antenna is designed for Wlan and Wimax applications. Significant parametric study was conducted in terms of dielectric constant, dielectric thichness, slot dimensions. The designed patch antenna has an input match resonance of -30 dB at 4.46 GHz, and 5.4 dB gain.
