Abstract

In the present study, phase equilibria in the TeO2 - CdOsystem has been investigated. Different compositions of(1-x) TeO2 - x CdO, where x = 0.10, 0.20, 0.25, 0.30and 0.40 in molar ratio were prepared. The sampleswaited at 750°C in a platinum crucible for 30 minutesand then were quenched in a water bath. DTA studieswere performed on as-cast samples. According to theDTA results, all samples were heat-treated at 550°C for24 hours to obtain phase equilibrium. XRD andSEM/EDS studies were performed on the crystallizedsamples for microstructural analysis.
