Abstract
This chapter discusses the formation and application of membranes prepared using evaporation-induced phase inversion (EIPS) from both kinetic and thermodynamic perspectives. It analyzes the effects of various fabrication parameters, such as the rate of solvent evaporation, polymer type, and concentration, solvent, and additive selection, as well as the type of nonsolvent. Furthermore, the application of EIPS-prepared membranes in gas separation and water treatment is presented in the subsequent section. Lastly, a summary and future perspective for the EIPS-prepared membrane is presented.
