Abstract

Due to the increasing energy demand all over the world and the damage caused to the environment by many of the installed electric power plants, the importance of renewable energy sources is increasing. Solar power plants have an important place among these renewable energy sources. In this direction, grid-connected solar power plants and the effects of these power plants on the network are increasing day by day. Photovoltaic cells produce direct voltage which has to be convert to alternating voltage in order to connect to grid. Therefore, design of inverters is important parameter for the energy quality of solar power plants. In this paper, two-level and multi-level inverter topologies, which provide required standards, have been designed on MATLAB / Simulink program. Moreover, energy quality of solar inverters have been examined, when FFT and THB analysis performed.
