Abstract

Dedicated Outdoor Air System in conjunction with individual control modules is proposed as a possible solution for poor indoor air quality and excess energy usage of existing conventional systems in multi-zone buildings. The conceptual basis how the system satisfies ASHRAE Ventilation Standard is followed by the annual energy simulation that underlines savings provided by the system even at doubled amount of outdoor air supply. Savings around 30-60% can be a motivation for further research and improvements.
