Abstract
Knitted fabrics often display a great deal of extensibility and elasticity which causes fabric distortion when embroidered. Spaces between the borders of two embroideries often occur due to differences in yarn tension, machine speed and fabric properties. In this research, identical patterns are embroidered on different fabrics using different threads and machine speeds to show how the formation is effected. The results obtained from these experimental studies, show that spaces between the embroideries are strongly affected by yarn tension and fabric properties.
