Abstract

Cyclic voltammetry combined with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurements were utilized to explore the kinetic of the electro-oxidation of formic acid on dispersed platinum and perchlorate doped polypyrrole film electrodes. Experimental conditions for the preparation of the electrocatalytic system were determined. Results strongly suggest the doping effect on the reaction mechanism.
