Electric power generation dispatch correction using fuzzy linear programming

Abstract

One of the frequently encountered problems in power systems is damages occurred in transmission lines due to excessive loading. In this study, in order to solve such a problem an attempt was made to correct operating condition of a power system by rearranging the power production. The objective function and the constraints are modeled by fuzzy sets and then the problem is solved by using fuzzy linear programming. The proposed approach is applied on an example system and the results are given.
