Funding
Ebru Dulekgurgen received her BSc degree in Environmental Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (ITU, Turkey) in 1993 and her MSc in Environmental Science and Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC, IL, USA) in 1997. She served as a teaching and research assistant at Pamukkale University (PAU) between 1997–1999 and at ITU between 1999–2007. She was a visiting scholar at the Lehrstuhl und Versuchsanstalt für Wassergüte und Abfalwirtschaft at Technical University of Munich (TUM, Germany) in 2003 on a NATO A-2 scholarship and a visiting researcher at the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at UIUC (IL; USA) in 2004. She received her PhD in 2006 in Environmental Engineering from ITU. Between 2007 and 2010, she served as a faculty member, head of the Environmental Sciences Division, and Departmental ERASMUS and International Relations Coordinator of the Environmental Engineering Department at PAU. She is currently enrolled as an assistant professor at the Environmental Engineering Department at ITU. She has been involved in several national and international projects including those funded by EU, TUBITAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey), DPT (State Planning Organization), etc., published in peer-reviewed journals, served as a referee in several SCI journals.
