N2 - In this paper, we consider using minimum shift keying, a special form of continuous phase modulation in relay systems. In this way, we aim at taking advantage of constant envelope, usage compatibility with low cost nonlinear amplifiers, and spectral efficiency of continuous phase modulation on relay/cooperative systems. We investigate optimum distributed space-time trellis codes for amplify & forward relaying method and propose novel codes which outperform their classical counterparts.
