Abstract

In this paper, a basic CubeSat model is tried to be controlled with optimizing gain parameters of linear quadratic regulator. Noisy sensor measurements are used to determine attitude by using TRIAD. To reduce the effects of noise in optimization process, a two-step optimization approach is implemented. As a result of this approach, particle swarm optimization achieved to tune gain parameters of the controller.
