Abstract

Using the seven dimensional linear regression method, new empirical formulae for the austenite and martensite start temperatures and transformation thermal hysteresis associated with the martensite transformation observed in the Fe-Mn-Si-Ni-Cr-Ce-Ti-N shape memory alloys are obtained. The effects of the contents on the martensite start temperature, austenite start temperature and transformation thermal hysteresis are discussed and compared with the experimental results.
