Abstract
In the present study the rooftop of Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Electrical and Electronics is used to meet part of the energy needs of faculty is made by the PV solar panel design for faculty. Design of roof options (combinations) have been made with both the analytical and PVSOL software. In analytical calculations, azimuth and equations used for all south-facing roof in terms of ease of calculation are used. Furthermore energy production values found with simple analytical calculations are compared with energy production values calculated in detail with energy production values ready software and different design options. Hereby, the error rate of the simple calculation method can be used in analytical.
