Abstract

The aim of this paper is a design of the control unit leading accurately Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS) without occurring any fault. Permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) was considered as generator to create efficient electrical energy without using gear-box. In practice, variable wind speeds make the frequency at the generator output variable due to the lack of gear-box. For this reason, frequency regulation is compulsory for devices that are adapted to the standard operating frequencies regarding countries transmission lines. In addition, harmonic distortions occur at high levels in areas where nonlinear elements are present. Certain topological requirements are needed to overcome these distortions, and the aim of this paper is to distort as much as possible and not to reflect variable frequencies to the consumers and distribution networks. In this way, micro grids and independent sources known as islanded mode are being examined. Therefore, the signals obtained at the output of the PMSG are rectified first passed through the active filter as well and then to get the desired power factor and the reduced harmonics, DC chopper is used and then the output is obtained with the aid of an inverter. When these processes are carried out, various control methods have to he applied. Therefore, this paper deal with to control this system easily with benefit from various algorithms and to provide qualified energy.
