Abstract

With the increase of autonomous vehicle popularity, autonomous parking approaches become more critical. In this study, the autonomous parking problem of a model car with Ackermann steering system is discussed and various algorithms have been tested for both vertical and parallel parking. We also propose a method for the problem of vertical parking. Algorithms have been tested in the simulation environment and on the designed vehicle model. It has been observed that the parking process is successful in real-world tests.
