Abstract
Nowadays, irregular use and forgetfulness of prescribed medications have become a significant health problem that negatively affects treatment success. In this context, a smart medication dispensing system supported by dual verification algorithms based on image processing and medication weight analysis has been developed to ensure that patients use their medications on time and correctly. The system operates based on medication schedules and dosage information entered via a mobile application. Following each dispensing event, both the type and quantity of the medication are verified using visual analysis and physical weight measurements. All control and monitoring operations are managed by a centralized processing unit, with all data being securely logged and stored. The developed system aims to minimize user-related errors, promote regular medication intake, and improve adherence to treatment regimens, thereby offering a significant contribution to the field of healthcare technologies.
