Abstract

Charcoal is an important product of pyrolysis of biomass sources. Charcoal can be used for domestic, agricultural, metallurgical, and chemical purposes. In this study different characteristics of charcoal one of the rape seed plant straw-stalk pyrolysis product was researched and presented as candidates.

Derived from Greek, pyrolysis me ans thermal decomposition without mentioning the gaseous environment in which the operation is performed, such as inert gas, reducing gas, or oxidizing gas. The modern definition is more accurate: thermal decompositionoforganic matter,in avacuum or an inert atmosphere s for example under pure nitrogen..
