Abstract
The cationic polymerization of cyclohexene oxide was initiated by reduction of allyl sulfonium salt in the presence of ascorbyl-6 hexadecanoate and copper(II) benzoate. A redox reaction in which the copper compound serving as an electron carrier for the initiation step was proposed.
