Abstract
The aim of the study is to develop a continuous method to synthesize sub-micron size boron carbide particles. Boric acid and sucrose will be used as precursor materials by an aerosol process by using a homemade spray pyrolysis system unit equipped with a high-performance nebulizer/spray chamber. Characterization methods (XRD, FTIR and SEM) show that boron carbide particles can be synthesized at 1550°C by using this technique.
