Abstract

This paper presents the modeling, simulation and implementation of an inverter fed three-phase squirrel cage induction motor. The drive system and motor are modeled by using PSIM for the speed control and the output quantities are analyzed under different conditions. Frequency, voltage and voltage/frequency ratio variations are analyzed to observe the change in output quantities. The experimental study is also carried out for the validation.
