Abstract

Accident black spots of natural gas aboveground assets and risky locations near the main artery were identified throughout Istanbul. These points were evaluated against various road and vehicle-related crash risks. This assessment was carried out by a measurable method, the Analytical Hierarchy Process. The obtained results were used in the design of hazardous roadside facilities or the design principles of protective systems.
