Abstract

In this study a reduce-order EKF algorithm is developed to be used for the rotor flux oriented sensorless vector control of IM's. The algorithm using measured stator currents involves the estimation of the rotor resistance, rotor flux, angular velocity and load torque. Simulation results show that the proposed method has a good performance to that of the similar full order estimator, while achieving a significant reduction in computation complexity and time.
