Abstract

This study provides information about the wavelet study of the brushless de (BLDC) motor, which ultimately be used for sensorless control. The Matlab/Simulink model and its combination with dSpace DS2201 DSP unit are used to form a rapid control prototyping set-up. The Doubechies wavelet decomposition method has been applied to the recorded input-phase current-waveforms of the test motor. It has been shown that, commutation instants of inverter switches can be clearly detected without any position sensor.
