Abstract

This paper outlines a technological roadmap to enhance the resilience of Türkiye's energy systems following the February 6, 2023 earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş and Hatay. It emphasises the need for uninterrupted electricity during emergencies to ensure public safety and effective emergency response. The study suggests strategies to address power outages in earthquake-prone areas by analysing clean energy sources, microreactors, smart grids, and cybersecurity. Key factors and technological gaps are identified to improve seismic resilience, communication, and emergency response, advocating cutting-edge technology and multidisciplinary collaboration to build a robust energy infrastructure.
