Abstract

In this study, a soft switching, independently and precisely regulated multi-output forward converter is proposed. Proposed multi-output forward converter has synchronous rectifiers at each output and an active clamp at the primary. All of the semiconductor switches in the converter are soft switched. Each output is controlled by a separate controller. Duty cycles of the active clamp switch and primary switch are determined from outputs' duty cycle information. The topology and control method ensures high efficiency and precise voltage regulation of multi-output forward converters with wide load variations. Simulation results have verified the proposed concept.
