Abstract

In this paper, a modified third generation current conveyor is presented which offers new possibilities for the implementation of universal filters. New bipolar and CMOS realisations of this active element are provided. A universal filter, employing the presented circuit, which simultaneously realizes high-pass, low-pass and band-pass responses is implemented. The advantages offered by the MOCIII are discussed. Simulation results are included to verify theory.
