Abstract

A modified active current mirror suitable for precision current-mode algorithmic analog-to-digital converters is presented. Employing only a 5-transistor opamp, with aid of a novel method, the current mirror achieves high current transfer accuracy for a wide range of input current level. Comparison with a conventional active current mirror and first results associated with ADC implementation are also supplied, via spectreS simulations.
