Abstract

While designing fixed shading devices, both visual and climatic comfort conditions should be taken into consideration. The subject which shading device would be more efficient under certain climatic conditions requires the calculation of daylight availability and daylight glare index in the rooms. An optimum determination for the alternatives can only be made through this way. This article covers a mathematical model of designing fixed shading devices from two aspects: climatic and visual.
