Abstract

This work presents a circular-shaped microstrip patch antenna with a Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) applications. The proposed antenna is designed using HFSS software with an impedance bandwidth of 12.73%, from 7.40 GHz to 9.02 GHz, and provides a considerable gain of 9.84 dBi in the frequency band. The MIMO antenna is examined in terms of performance, including reflection coefficient, gain, and isolation. The proposed antenna design offers a high efficiency of over 98% in the frequency band used.
