Abstract

In this study, the inversion of a GPR trace performed by the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). Dielectric constant, magnetic permeability, conductivity and depth parameters are estimated by the full waveform inversion of GPR trace. Thus, the EM wave velocity of the media can be calculated precisely. The PSO inversion was applied to numerical, noise added numerical and real data. It was shown that PSO inversion can be used to estimate subsurface parameters from GPR trace as a result of this study.
